Content ETL

"Content ETL is to documents what standard ETL is to structured data!!"
Nicolas Maquaire, EntropySoft CEO

Industrializing your transfers and your transformations

Previously, when companies had to manage the flow of structured data, they were deploying ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) products.

The same concern has to be addressed today for unstructured data transfers.

  Content ETL

Most companies having multiple content repositories must deploy a Content ETL to easily move their documents between repositories and manage their specific document process requirements.

EntropySoft’s Content ETL is the first ETL dedicated to unstructured data.

Content ETL can handle the most complex document transfers. It can be document transfers between corporate repositories, inter-enterprise document sharing, transfer of documents to and from the cloud or repository synchronization.

Content ETL includes a development studio with a graphic interface to design, build, debug and manage the most complex transfers of documents. Content ETL is used for migration, archiving, records management and document distribution.

Content transfers can be executed in quasi real-time, on-demand, or on a scheduled basis.

Each content transfer is managed by a bridge. A bridge is connecting two different repositories. A bridge is the process in charge of transferring documents from one application to the other. It contains a series of stages, each implementing a specific action. A bridge is graphically designed in Content ETL, which includes a palette of all the pre-programmed available features a bridge can manage (Deduplication, PDF rendering…).

Thanks to the Track Repository Changes feature of the connectors, Content ETL offers a way to synchronize parts of two repositories nearly in real-time. The synchronization effectively removes the barriers surrounding the content repositories by synchronizing their content. Documents, metadata and permissions are automatically updated.

The synchronization process can be done across the firewall to synchronize distant heterogeneous repositories in different locations or companies. Documents can be exchanged with maximum speed, security and traceability. This process can be applied for cloud repositories. Content ETL can also synchronize external content silos with internal applications.

Content ETL is possibly the most versatile product on the market to manage all unstructured data transfers. Thanks to its connectivity to 40 content silos and its powerful development studio, Content ETL handles all content transfer processes in the extended enterprise.
