Connectors

"Any software that has "open document" / "save document" in its menu can benefit from
our portfolio of read/write connectors. They work with a large array of content silos!"
- Raphael Jean, EntropySoft CTO

Connect any applications to all DMS

Common content fragmentation challenges for software and service providers:
  • Connecting to repositories
  • Limited or no technical expertise to manage
  • On-going support and  maintainance for different versions of content repositories
  EntropySoft Connectors

EntropySoft, a pioneer of interoperability and a specialist for connectivity solutions, has the largest portfolio of market-tested products to handle all content fragmentation aspects. With 40 bi-directional read/write connectors, supporting 35 of the most popular content-centric systems, EntropySoft is the premier connector supplier for 6 out of the 14 major Information Access vendors.*

Connectors: what are they and how do they work?

EntropySoft connectors are stand-alone libraries (jar files or .dll files)  which are used to expose a common API to normalize access to content repositories.

The API is simple, intuitive and fully documented. For increased interoperability, different technologies can be used to work with the connectors such as,EntropySoft Web Services, CMIS (Web Services and REST implementations), Java, java remote and .Net.

Once a connection is established, it can be used to read, write, update metadata, change permissions, lock / unlock documents, check-in / check-out and more. All the connectors are flexible and are designed to support the main features of the underlying applications.

Ground-breaking technology

EntropySoft connectors offer a  unique feature called, Track Repository Changes. When any changes are made to a repository, such as added, updated and deleted documents a comprehensive report is generated. This is a critical feature for any application needing to be aware of the latest content or permission changes in a content silo. These changes are automatically recorded and a list retrieved dynamically.

Enterprise Search companies are leveraging this feature to manage index updates. Instead of creating complex queries, this technology accelerates modified or created items being taken into consideration. Beyond the Search Industry, all software products can benefit from this feature to manage document changes in real-time. This is the foundation of EntropySoft’s synchronization technology.

EntropySoft Connectors are:

  • Designed to be out-of-the-box OEM components
  • Robust and performance-oriented supporting real-time synchronization
  • Used in hundreds of large implementations in different contexts by world-class companies.
  • Proven to handle high-volume business-critical operations.
  • Becoming the market’s reference for best connectivity in all the content-centric software markets.

Take days, not weeks or months to integrate

Understanding and integrating EntropySoft technology is a fast process, taking only a few days to integrate and minimal time to deploy as a service, Software companies acquire immediate connectivity to additional content-centric applications, increasing the number of repositories they can work with. This allows them to concentrate on their core product differentiators, leaving all access-content aspects and development to EntropySoft.

By signing a partnership with EntropySoft, a software company not only gets access to the largest connector portfolio on the market but also benefits from unparalleled expertise on content repositories provided by one of the few market specialists.
